Finca Julie, Fuerteventura's newest Horse Riding Centre, has just opened near Villaverde in the north of the island. This family run business, operated by Irish couple Julie Allman and Paul Downes, welcomes adults and children to come and enjoy the breathtaking views of Fuerteventura on horseback. Novice or experienced riders can enjoy a 1 or 2 hour trek along relaxing mountainside trails on friendly Irish horses, and more experienced riders can be taken on an exhilarating 4 hour coastal trek with restaurant meal at journey's end.

Julie and Paul started visiting Fuerteventura in 2000, and like many other people who kept revisiting the island they fell in love with it and moved here in 2009 to live. Julie has been involved with horses all her life, and she previously ran a large Stud Farm and Horse Riding Centre in Redcross in County Wicklow, Ireland. Julie and Paul transported their Irish sport horses to the island in October last year, and they have all acclimatised very well to their new home despite the absense of acres of green grass!

To experience the freedom and tranquility this beautiful island has to offer, while riding on a friendly Irish horse, will certainly add a lasting memory to your experience of Fuerteventura.
