Fuerteventura is the ideal place for a regenerative holiday. Fuerte Tribu helps organisations and associations of people with disabilities to plan their holidays here, providing them with accessible accommodation, group activities and surf lessons.
Surfing is a powerful tool for enjoying life, learning to face problems, getting to know each other and self-control. It directs our attention towards the "here and now" and allows us to challenge our limits. More than a sport, it is a lifestyle that benefits the body, mind and soul! Above all, we can all surf and build confidence, enjoy the emotions that this activity gives us and experience freedom.
Adapted surfing is aimed at children and adults who have functional diversity. Based on the disability, age and life experiences of the participant, we tailor make the classes. Classes are available for beginners, intermediates and advanced levels. They are given individually or in groups.
With years of experience with people with functional diversity and licensed by the Canarian Surf Federation, our instructors work in team with psychometricians and physiotherapists to adapt the class to each participant. As the disabilities are very different, each one needs a personalized approach. For this reason, our team develops a plan with specific objectives and methods for each pupil and with the help of special tools, such as amphibious chairs and adapted surfboards.
